If you are a first time fly fishing novice or an old salt, we will make sure that you have lots of opportunities at sight casting to schools of bonefish, permit, tarpon, snook, jacks, and all critters that swim. The beauty of Boca Paila and Ascension Bay is that the wind will never keep you from fishing. Travel Details
Pick-up in Tulum is by skiff at the Ultimo Maya Campground, located 3 kilometeres South of the entrance to the Sian Ka’an National Park.
The second option is to drive a short hour to Punta Allen and fish Ascension Bay proper.

Fishing Program
Pick-up in Tulum is by skiff at the Ultimo Maya Campground, located 3 kilometeres South of the entrance to the Sian Ka’an National Park (you will drive under a huge stone arch and it is also where the road turns to dirt). Trips start at 8:30am and the skiff returns at 4:30pm. You can fish Permit Alley, Boca Paila, El Rio, and the outside Oceanside flats. That is a full 8 hour day of fishing in one of the greatest places on earth for a Super Slam.
If you decide to drive to Punta Allen and fish Ascension Bay proper, trips start at 8:00am and can include breakfast (extra charge) if you arrive early. Punta Allen day trips include a free Lupita Margarita after you return to the dock. Either trip includes two fly fishing combos, all licenses and taxes, a full lunch for two, and a cooler full of ice and bottled water.

Pricing 2023
Tulum Fly Fishing Day trips are $675US prepaid and cover a full days fishing for two anglers maximum. All trips need to be prepaid in full 60 days prior to fishing dates. We will send you an invoice for a 50% deposit via PayPal that can be paid with any major credit card. There are no refunds for no shows.
If you will not have a rental car, we can arrange roundtrip transportation to the dock from most locations in Tulum for $100US roundtrip.
Don't worry about fishing licenses or park entrance fees, they are all included in the price. We also provide a full lunch along with a cooler full of ice, bottled water, and soft drinks. If you desire something stronger than a cola, please bring it with you.
